About this site

Ibogaine Programs lists every ibogaine clinic, retreat and clinical trial we could find, with a source for every fact, plus the legal and safety record people need before they travel.

What is listed

Any program that gives ibogaine, iboga or ibogaine alkaloid extracts to patients or participants, under any name: ibogaine clinic, ibogaine treatment center, iboga retreat, ceremony, or a clinical trial. Programs that have closed are kept on the list and marked as such, because directories and search results keep sending people to them. Programs that only sell ibogaine, only offer "microdosing" products, or only run online coaching are not listed.

One program that does not use ibogaine is listed as its own category: ANR Clinic, a hospital-based treatment for opioid dependence in the United States. It is included because people researching ibogaine for opioid dependence compare the two, and because it is one of the few hospital-based, one-admission options that is legal in the United States. It is marked "No ibogaine" everywhere it appears.

Programs are listed without applying and cannot opt out. They can correct any fact on their page.

Where the facts come from

Each profile is built from the program's own website, press coverage, published case reports and reviews in medical journals, court and regulatory records where they exist, and treatment directories (recovery.com, HealingMaps, Psychology Today and others). Every fact on a profile is attributed to one of these, with a link, and each profile shows the date it was last checked.

Where a program does not state something, the profile says "not stated" or "not published". Where sources conflict, the profile says so. Program statements about safety, success rates and patient numbers are reported as the program's statements and are not verified by us. Google ratings are shown as displayed on a cited page on a given date. Ibogaine Programs does not assign ratings or accept submitted reviews.

People's experiences

The experiences research brings together accounts from Reddit and external review sites, with a separate research date and links to the original pages. It covers the welcome, everyday arrangements, difficult experiences and support after returning home. Personal reports, relatives' accounts, provider-selected testimonials and directory descriptions are identified separately. A repeated story is still one person's account, even when it appears on several sites.

We cannot verify that anonymous writers attended, and the people who post are not a representative sample of everyone treated. A person's positive or negative experience does not establish clinical safety or effectiveness. Reviews may describe an older location, a different program or a team that has since changed. Unreadable pages and search snippets are research leads; they do not support our descriptions of a stay. How we read the sources.

What this site is not

Not medical advice, and not a recommendation of any program. Ibogaine Programs does not arrange treatment, take referrals, sell or ship anything, or operate a hotline. Phone numbers and links are the ones programs publish on their own sites. Ibogaine is a Schedule I controlled substance in the United States and nothing here is an offer to supply it.

Corrections

If you represent a listed program and a fact on your page is wrong, out of date or missing, email corrections@ibogaineprograms.com with the correction and a source. Every request is reviewed and the page is updated with a new check date. Sourced public records such as press reports of deaths, court decisions and regulatory actions are not removed, but your response is added to the page.
